Retraction
Retraction is a mechanism for correcting the literature and alerting readers to articles that contain such seriously flawed or erroneous content or data that their findings and conclusions cannot be relied upon.
The main purpose of retraction is to correct the literature and ensure its integrity rather than to punish the authors.
Editors should consider retracting a publication if:
• They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of major error (eg, miscalculation or experimental error), or as a result of fabrication (eg, of data) or falsification (eg, image manipulation)
- It constitutes plagiarism
- The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper attribution to previous sources or disclosure to the editor, permission to republish, or justification (ie, cases of redundant publication)
- It contains material or data without authorisation for use
- It reports unethical research
The procedure of retracting an article:
1. If the author / group of authors find it necessary to retract the article, they contact the Editorial Office, explaining the reason for their decision.
2. If the Editorial Board decides to retract the article on the basis of its expertise or information received by the Editorial Board, the Editorial Board informs the authors / group of authors about the decision.
3. The Editors indicate the reason for the retraction, as well as the date of the retraction. The article and the description of the article remain on the journal’s website with the inscription RETRACTED and the date of retraction. The same inscription is placed in the table of contents of the issue. N.B.
4. The Council on the Scientific Publications Ethics and the scientific information bases (eLIBRARY, CyberLeninka) are provided with a protocol of retraction, which indicates the date of the meeting, the list of members, the results of the expertise, a reasoned decision.
Retraction will be reported to archive and scientific databases:
• eLIBRARY and CyberLeninka (information about the article and the full text remain on the website of eLIBRARY and CyberLeninka, with the information on retraction. Retracted articles and their references do not participate in the calculation of indicators);
• Council on the Scientific Publications Ethics for submission to database of retracted articles at
