Founder of the Scientific school on the Problems of Operational Reliability of Metal Structures. In 1979 he organized a Laboratory for Studying the Reliability of Steel Structures at the Department of Building Structures and Engineering, Engineering Faculty, Yakut State University. Together with colleagues from the Scientific Coordination Center for the Problems of the North, the Arctic and the Life of the Indigenous Peoples of the North and Lomonosov Moscow State University, formulated proposals to optimize the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. His research work is focused on operational reliability and durability of metal structures of industrial facilities in extreme environment.

Honorary Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation. Laureate of the Ammosov State Award, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Honored Scientist of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), (2001).  Awarded by the Gold Medal of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), (2001).
