In recent years, Academician N.F. Morozov has focused his efforts on dynamic fracture problems and nanomechanics. He proposed a new criterion for brittle fracture, which is relevant for problems of fast and ultrafast loading. Based on this criterion, new methods of testing materials have been proposed that meet the needs of modern industry.

Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation.

Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation. He was awarded the Medal “For the Defense of Leningrad”, the Order of Honor and the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, 1st degree.
